The five-day China International Supply Chain Expo in Beijing wraps up today. A news conference is expected to highlight the deals and proposed ventures reached among over 650 companies, 35 percent of which are foreign. Chinese and foreign firms acknowledged the expo's significance in bridging opportunities.
MARKO CADEZ, President, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia "I haven't seen in the world this kind of platform so well organized for the companies all around the world to connect to each other, to integrate big companies, medium-sized companies, small companies but all the ecosystem around the supply chain and value creation chain in all the industries and that is I think very specific what we have now here in Beijing and that's why we brought some of the very good and sophisticated technology companies from Belgrade, from Serbia to be part of this exhibition. We had more than 400 B2Bs so only the interest from all the companies is showing how important it is. Not only that, we already have some very concrete contracts signed or pre-signed so the people who are coming here are not only talking about possibilities. They are really doing business."
ZHANG XIAOPING, Greater China Regional Director, US Soybean Export Council "This is our third time to participate in the China International Supply Chain Expo and US soybean industry believes this is a great opportunity for us to showcase. For this year we specially arranged some activities on the booth to demonstrate the strong partnership with Chinese soy industry partners. We signed the US Soy Sustainability Assurance Protocol Certificate. This is local usage agreement. So we really appreciate this kind of opportunity and the great support that we have from all the partners."
