Italian and Chinese business representatives met in Rome on July 4 to discuss the upcoming China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE), highlighting potential cooperation between the two countries.
The roadshow, jointly organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and the Italian Confederation of Small and Medium Private Industry (CONFAPI), drew over 40 attendees from various sectors, including logistics, finance, communications, tax consulting and legal services.
Cristian Camisa, president of CONFAPI, highlighted the importance of Asian business and the establishment of an Asian working group. He also expressed hope that member companies would establish cooperative relationships with Chinese enterprises through their participation in the second CISCE.
Xu Baolin, director-general of CCPIT's Human Resources Department, described the expo as a timely initiative that provides a national platform to facilitate communication, deepen cooperation, and seek common development. He also expressed CCPIT's commitment to work closely with CONFAPI to contribute more to the high-level development of China-Italy relations.
The roadshow was also attended by Yao Lujie, chief representative of CCPIT in Italy, who delivered a speech, and Giada Bronzino, executive director and representative of CONFAPI, who gave an online address.
The CCPIT Representative Office in Italy presented an overview of China's economic landscape. Representatives from CONFAPI in the food, chemical, and logistics industries, as well as the chairpersons of Matera and Padua province sub-branches, also delivered speeches.
Carlo Capria, a former official from the Italian Prime Minister's Office, and Marco Tarica, an Italian logistics expert, led discussions with 20 business representatives.
