Twenty-four Shenzhen-based companies signed agreements with China International Exhibition Center Group to participate in the second China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) during a roadshow in Shenzhen, Guangdong province, on July 12.
Ren Hongbin, chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), and Dai Jintao, deputy mayor of Shenzhen, attended the event and oversaw the signing ceremony.
During the conference, Ren emphasized the growing importance of supply chains in global trade and economic cooperation. He highlighted that CISCE, the world's first national-level expo focused on supply chains, centers on four key concepts: the integration of upstream and downstream industry chains, the collaboration of enterprises of all sizes, the synergy of industry, academia, and research, and the interaction between Chinese and foreign enterprises.
"We hope more companies can use CISCE as a platform to embrace globalization and seize more international cooperation opportunities," Ren said.
Dai pointed out that Shenzhen is a hub for supply chain management, with more than 80% of China's supply chain management service headquarters located in the city. He stated that the city will continue to leverage the CISCE platform to connect with global innovation resources in the industry chain, showcase the Shenzhen brand, and build a modern industrial system that highlights Shenzhen's unique strengths and characteristics.
Zhang Yan, CEO of Winner Medical, expressed her company's enthusiasm for participating in the second expo, saying, "At the first CISCE, we were fortunate to witness the development trends and latest achievements across various global industries."
She added that the company looks forward to deepening international cooperation and achieving win-win outcomes at the upcoming event.
The second CISCE is scheduled to take place in Beijing from Nov. 26 to 30. The expo will feature six supply chain areas, including advanced manufacturing, smart vehicles, green agriculture, clean energy, digital technology, and healthy living, as well as a dedicated exhibition zone for supply chain services.
