On December 27, the 19th Cross-Straits Economic and Trade Arbitration Symposium was held in Ningbo, Zhejiang. Yu Jianlong, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), attended and addressed the event. Nearly 200 people from the arbitration, legal and business communities across the Taiwan Strait attended the symposium.

Yu Jianlong pointed out that arbitration, as an efficient and professional solution for diversified disputes, is an effective means for parties to resolve commercial and economic disputes. It plays an irreplaceable role in the development of cross-straits economic and trade relations. Yu hoped that the arbitration communities across the strait would adhere to deepening cooperation to promote common development, pioneering and innovating to build a new highland for arbitration services, and make concerted efforts to build arbitration credibility in line with independence and impartiality.
