Round Table Meeting Between UK Chancellor of the Exchequer and Chinese Business Community Successfully Held in Beijing

  

On January 11, the Round Table Meeting Between UK Chancellor of the Exchequer and Chinese Business Community organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and British Embassy in Beijing, was successfully held in Beijing. Rachel Reeves, UK Chancellor of the Exchequer, attended and addressed the meeting. Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the CCPIT presided over the meeting and delivered a speech. Wu Ruolan, British Ambassador to China; Ge Haijiao, chairman of the Bank of China; and representatives from China Investment Corporation attended the meeting.

The two sides exchanged views on issues including the implementation of the consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, the promotion of practical cooperation between Chinese and British business communities, the encouragement of two-way investment of enterprises, and the maintenance of a stable and smooth industrial and supply chain.

With the theme of Deepening  Pragmatic Cooperation in Investment, the round table meeting, co-sponsored by the Bank of China, is a supporting economic and trade activity under the framework of the 11th China-UK Economic and Financial Dialogue.
