3rd CISCE Roadshow Held in Australia

  

On April 16, the roadshow for the 3rd China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) was held in Sydney, Australia. Attendees included Ye Wei, Counselor-rank Consul of the Consulate-General of China in Sydney; Patrick Mayoh, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Australia China Business Council (ACBC) New South Wales Branch; Chen Jianyu, President of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) Sydney Branch; and Sophy Liu, CEO of OZ-Town and Executive Chairperson of the China Australia Free Trade Association (CHAFTA) Forum; who delivered speeches. The event also featured a promotion session for the third CISCE by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Representative Office in Australia.


Ye Wei stated that hosting the CISCE demonstrates China’s resolve and confidence to work with countries worldwide in building a global industrial and supply chain system that is secure, stable, smooth, efficient, open, inclusive, and mutually beneficial. He expressed hope that more Australian businesses would actively participate in the Expo to share in new opportunities.


Patrick Mayoh remarked that the CISCE provides enterprises with a platform for market expansion and business exchanges. He expressed his willingness to vigorously encourage member companies of the ACBC New South Wales Branch to attend the Expo, further strengthen communication and deepen cooperation between Chinese and Australian enterprises and jointly create more opportunities. 


Chen Jianyu noted that the CISCE serves as a key global platform for supply chain collaboration. He emphasized ICBC’s commitment to acting as a bridge to leverage the opportunities presented by the Expo and elevate China-Australia industrial and supply chain cooperation to new heights. 

The event, hosted by the CCPIT Representative Office in Australia, brought together over 80 representatives from trade and investment promotion agencies, business associations, chambers of commerce and enterprises from both countries. During the event, the CCPIT Representative Office in Australia signed memorandums of cooperation with relevant Chinese and Australian institutions.
